ORLANDO

Many people think Disney is the “happiest place on earth.”

It’s an enclosed environment where people trust they are safe wherever they are in the park. They believe that they are being taken care of in exchange for the heavily priced entrance fee. Everywhere you go in the park is designed in a nostalgic, yet exciting atmosphere. From the sounds, smells, size, color, Disney continues to be successful at utilizing different expectations as they have created a place that people want to go to.

ALL ABOARD FLORIDA: PASSENGER TRAIN TRAVEL

Driving from Miami to Orlando takes about four hours. The All Aboard Florida train will allow passengers to cover that same distance in about three hours — while reading, relaxing or simply enjoying a more productive way to travel. Quality passenger rail holds the power to transform the travel experience. Rather than putting miles on your own car, paying for gas and navigating heavy traffic, passengers can sit back and enjoy the ride. All Aboard Florida will deliver you to Orlando, Miami and destinations in between faster than when driving — and you will arrive more relaxed, refreshed and comfortable.

The trains already run between Miami and West Palm Beach, and officials remain staunch that they expect the train to be able to launch service to Orlando International Airport by 2023.

PORT MIAMI: CRUISE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD

The economic currents of the Panama Canal expansion are swirling around Florida from its seaports to much of its infrastructure.     The expansion, started in 2007, has given new meaning to the term deep water ports. The massive $5.25 billion (and growing) construction project entails the addition of a third set of locks for the 50-mile Canal that links the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, essentially doubling its capacity. Accommodating a larger sized vessel known as New Panamax, the ramifications for global trade are staggering.
